The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for several counties in South Florida, including Palm Beach County, Broward County, and Miami-Dade County. Temperatures are expected to soar into the mid-90s, with humidity levels making it feel even hotter.
Heat Wave Hits Boca Raton
Boca Raton residents can expect to see temperatures reach as high as 96 degrees on Friday, with a heat index of up to 105 degrees. Saturday is expected to be just as hot, with a high of 95 degrees and a heat index of up to 104 degrees.

Other Areas Affected
Other areas in South Florida are also expected to see record-breaking heat. Fort Lauderdale can expect temperatures to reach 97 degrees on Friday, while Miami is expected to see highs of 96 degrees with a heat index of up to 105 degrees.

The City of Boca Raton has also announced that it will be offering cooling centers for residents who need a place to escape the heat. The cooling centers will be open from 9am-5pm daily until further notice.
