Bergel, who has spent over 20 years working in the nonprofit sector, says that he became increasingly frustrated with the lack of effective solutions to poverty in his community. “I saw so many people struggling to make ends meet, despite their hard work and dedication,” he said. “I knew I had to do something to help.”

The new institute, which Bergel has dubbed “Hope for a Better Tomorrow,” will offer a range of services, including financial counseling, job training, and education programs.
Services Offered by Hope for a Better Tomorrow
- Financial Counseling: Trained counselors will work with individuals to create budgets, manage debt, and develop plans for achieving long-term financial stability.
- Job Training: The institute will offer vocational training programs in areas such as healthcare, technology, and skilled trades.
- Education Programs: Hope for a Better Tomorrow will provide access to educational resources, including GED preparation and college courses.
Bergel says that the key to success will be collaboration with other organizations and community groups. “We can’t do this alone,” he said. “We need to work together to create a comprehensive support system for those in need.”
Goals and Objectives
- To provide financial stability and independence to individuals and families struggling with poverty.
- To offer job training and education programs that equip individuals with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.
- To build a network of community partners and organizations that can provide ongoing support and resources to those served by Hope for a Better Tomorrow.
Bergel is optimistic about the potential for his new organization to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. “I believe that together, we can create a brighter future for everyone,” he said.
