Cultural Council Opens Sports-Themed Art Exhibit Ahead of World Cup
As the world prepares to descend upon Miami in two months’ time for FIFA World Cup 2026, the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County is gearing up to celebrate South Florida’s passion for sports with a unique art exhibit. “Kinetic Energy: A Celebration of Sport in Palm Beach County” will be unveiled on Thursday at 5:30 p.m., and will run through June 12. The exhibition, presented in partnership with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, brings together 14 local artists who have been chosen for their diverse styles and contributions to the world of sports. From realistic portraits to abstract interpretations, each piece is a testament to the power of art to capture the essence of athletic endeavors.
Featured Artist: Anna Villa
Boca Raton’s own Anna Villa is one of the featured artists in the exhibition. Her contribution, a realistic portrait of an athlete in motion, showcases her skill and attention to detail as a painter. Villa’s artwork will be on display alongside those of 13 other talented artists from across Palm Beach County.
