Are you new to kayaking or feeling a bit uncertain about navigating the twists and turns of mangrove trails? This program is designed specifically for those who want to build their confidence and skills in a supportive environment. Our expert instructors will guide you through the shallow waters of the Intracoastal, teaching you how to maneuver your kayak with ease and introducing you to the fascinating world of mangrove and estuary ecosystems.
During this 1.5-hour program, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Get comfortable paddling in calm waters
- Learn about the unique characteristics of mangroves and their importance in South Florida’s ecosystem
- Explore the Intracoastal’s diverse wildlife and vegetation
- Develop your kayaking skills and build confidence on the water
Before participating, please note that you’ll need to be able to get in and out of a kayak without assistance. We’ll provide single or double kayaks for couples or groups, so don’t worry about finding a paddling partner – we’ve got you covered!
