New Organization Aims to Solve Poverty in Boca Raton

The organization, which is still in its early stages, aims to provide resources and support to individuals and families struggling to make ends meet. Read more at BocaVibe.com.
Bergel, who has spent over 20 years working in the nonprofit sector, says that he became increasingly frustrated with the lack of effective solutions to poverty in his community. “I saw so many people struggling to get by, despite their best efforts,” he said. “It was clear that we needed a new approach.”
The institute, which is called the Poverty Solutions Institute (PSI), will focus on providing a range of services and programs designed to help individuals and families overcome poverty. These may include job training and placement, financial counseling, and access to healthcare and education.
Key Initiatives
- Job Training and Placement Program: PSI will offer a comprehensive job training program, which includes vocational training, resume building, and interview preparation.
- Financial Counseling Services: The institute will provide free financial counseling services to help individuals create budgets, manage debt, and build credit.
- Healthcare Access Program: PSI will work with local healthcare providers to offer discounted or free medical care to low-income individuals and families.
Bergel says that he is committed to building a comprehensive network of partners and organizations that can help the institute achieve its goals. “We need to work together if we are going to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives,” he said.

Community Support
The Poverty Solutions Institute has already received support from several local businesses and organizations, including the City of Boca Raton and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to partner with PSI and help them achieve their mission,” said a spokesperson for the City of Boca Raton.
Residents in the community are also showing their support for the institute. “I think it’s wonderful that Mark Bergel is taking on this challenge,” said one resident. “Poverty is a problem that affects us all, and I believe we need to do something about it.”
