Bergel, who has spent over two decades working with non-profit organizations, believes that addressing poverty requires a multi-faceted approach. “We need to look at the root causes of poverty and address them head-on,” he said in an interview. “That means providing access to education, job training, and mental health services, as well as connecting people with resources and support networks.”
The organization, which has yet to be officially named, is currently working on several initiatives aimed at reducing poverty in the Boca Raton area. These include:
- Job training programs for low-income individuals
- Mental health services and counseling
- Access to education and career development resources
- Community outreach and engagement initiatives
Bergel hopes that by working together with local organizations, businesses, and government agencies, his organization can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those struggling with poverty. “We’re not just talking about providing handouts or temporary fixes,” he said. “We’re talking about creating long-term solutions that empower people to take control of their own lives.”

While the organization is still in its early stages, Bergel is optimistic about its potential impact. “I’ve seen firsthand the devastating effects of poverty on individuals and families,” he said. “But I’ve also seen the power of community and collaboration when it comes to creating positive change. I believe that together, we can make a real difference.”
