But what’s it really like to stay at such an acclaimed hotel? Is it truly worthy of the distinctions? I packed my bags, cruised up the winding driveway and checked in to find out. After passing through the porte-cochère lined with Bentleys and Bugattis, we zipped up the elevator to one of the hotel’s 44 suites.

That room category certainly has pizzazz, but at Acqualina, it’s even more exceptional. It felt more like an oceanfront residence than a traditional hotel room, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding waters. The spacious suite was tastefully decorated with elegant furnishings and modern amenities, including a private balcony perfect for taking in the stunning vistas.

Throughout my stay, I had the pleasure of enjoying some of Acqualina’s signature dining experiences, including fine dining at Scarpetta and casual beachside eats at La Cucina. The resort’s extensive recreational activities, such as snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding, were also a highlight of my visit.

As I settled into my luxurious suite, I couldn’t help but feel that Acqualina Resort truly lives up to its reputation as one of the top hotels in South Florida. With its exceptional service, stunning ocean views, and world-class amenities, it’s no wonder this resort has been a favorite among travelers for decades.
